Fee Structure for Uet Peshawar Admissions:

FOR THE SESSION 2007-2008

Eligibility criteria for Uet Peshawar Admissions:

Candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out 4.0 in semester system, or first division in annual / term system of examination in all degrees and certificates for Uet peshawar admissions. No second division in any academic career is allowed.

• Maximum age is up to 35 years for candidates holding 4 year Bachelor / Master’s of 16 years education, and up to 40 years for 18 years of education and for in-service candidates having up to 05 years relevant experience.
• Candidates, already availing HEC, University / DAIs, Departmental or any other scholarship(s) are not eligible.
• All candidates are required to submit GRE International and TOEFL / IELTS scores (not more than 03 years old) along with their application. Minimum score required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria without which no applications will be accepted:

• GRE (International) – 800 / 3.0 out of 1600 / 6.0 (Old pattern) or (290/3.0 out of 340/6.0 (New pattern).
• TOEFL (IBT) or IELTS -80 out of 120 or 6.5 band out of 9.0 band.

• Candidates are required to submit a 1000 words research proposal.

Selection Process in Uet Peshawar Admissions

• Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
• Selected candidates, who are not UET Peshawar employees, will be selected as “honorary” lecturers/officers, and their appointment will be actualized on joining UET Peshawar, after completion of their PhD studies.
• Seeking admission, and obtaining visa, will be the responsibility of selected candidates.
• Selected candidates will commence their studies from Fall semester 2012 and Spring semester 2013.
• Selected candidates will be required to execute a bond to serve UET Peshawar for a period of five years, after successful completion of PhD studies, and joining UET Peshawar.

Application form and other details are available on UET Peshawar website. Candidates are required to submit the application form complete in all respects to reach Project Director, Jalozai Campus, UET Peshawar, by March 05, 2012.

Notes for Uet Peshawar Admissions

• These scholarships are also open to existing faculty / employee (contract and regular) of UET Peshawar, who can apply as per above procedure. However, outstanding UET staff with high scores in GRE and TOEFL / IELTS can be considered by the Vice Chancellor any time, subject to availability of scholarship in that particular discipline.
• Candidates holding MSc in Chemical Engineering or MSc in Mining Engineering are also eligible to apply for the scholarship of Petroleum and Gas Engineering.
• The university reserves the right to restrict the number of selectees in response to this advertisement based on the availability of funds.
• In service candidates will be considered only if they apply through their departments, along with NOC from the parent departments.

Air University Tuition Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for each semester must be paid in advance and within the stipulated period. First semester’s fees are charged as equivalent to the average semester fee and adjusted in subsequent semesters. Tuition Fees are to be paid only upon receipt of the bill from the Office of Finance. The bill will be sent to all registered students AFTER they have formally registered for the courses. The fees must be settled within the deadline as stipulated in the bill.

Students who fail to pay fees within the stipulated periods will have their names struck off the Air University roles. A student whose name has been thus struck off but who is otherwise eligible to continue his/her candidature will be reinstated only after he/she has settled all outstanding fees / fines and paid re-admission fee as applicable at the time.

Note: All Fees, except security fee, are non-refundable.

Admission of result awaiting candidates will be cancelled if they fail to meet the minimum eligibility criteria after declaration of the awaited result and tuition fees, if submitted, will be refunded. Students are not allowed to drop courses during their first two semesters. Refunds for dropped courses from third semester onwards are issued as per policy outlined in student handbook.

Admission Guidelines

Application forms can be downloaded from the Dow University of Health Sciences website. Application forms should be submitted along with all required documents of eligibility to the UBL Baba-e-Urdu Road branch, Karachi, along with a pay order of Rs.1,500.

Last date for submission of application form is December 08, 2011.

Entrance Test will be held on December 20, 2011. Venue and time will be mentioned on admit card.

Candidates if government servants should apply through proper channel with an advance copy to the Admission Cell, Dow University of Health Sciences with NOC from the government. No TA/DA will be paid neither accommodation will be provided to any candidate.

The applications received after the last date will not be accepted. Applications submitted directly to the office of the Registrar will also not be accepted.
